Hi there, I've been searching around recently for posts on this and there is a little help on the forums, although there is not a clear parts list available for someone looking to swap their stock 5 door front bumper for a 3 door stock bumper.
I have a 5 Door Stilo 1.6 16v Active [AC] Petrol, and one thing that has always bugged me is the front bumper on it in comparison to the 3 door model's front bumper. If it wasn't for the issue of convenience and always having more than 2 people in my car, I would have definitely got the 3 door. In my opinion, it does look a lot more sporty. After searching around on the net I have come to knowledge that it is possible to fit a 3 door bumper on the 5 door model and it does look pretty good, however there are some minor gaps and head lights may need to be changed as well (along with other notes to bare in mind).
I just thought I'd create this post to firstly ask if it is a sensible/ viable idea to get the 3 door bumper and put it on my 5 door model. I ask this with concern for costs, ease of fitting, durability and likely side effects/ issues. If there are any that anyone is aware of, I would appreciate if you could raise them in this post.
Secondly, I would love if someone could possibly lay out a complete parts list that I would need for the procedure. that I could go and purchase, and hand over to a friend who works in a body work garage to fit.
This might help, pulled it from a similar thread; a reply from someone inquiring about someone who had already done the job...
I've also read somewhere that there may be some concerns with having the gaping holes in the bumper, even if they are covered in mesh, they would still leave some parts of the engine expose to wind and rain (possible problem?).
I'm literally just putting down anything I can remember here, so if you have any tips or advice you can offer, I would really appreciate if you could leave them for me and other Stilo drivers looking to do the same here.
And I'd also be grateful for that complete parts list =).
Cheers.

I've had an answer

face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:
Hi Andrew,
it´s no problem to get the 3d bumper on a 5d Stilo. You need only a small knife, to resize some (inner) parts on the bumper. Only under the light is a small edge, which does not fit exactly. You need a new bumper, an also new protection strip (i hope you unterstand this) an 3 new cooling grids.

Might have to wait till after christmas but I'm seriously thinking of doing it!
