Hi,
I have a 5 door stilo estate type... On Sunday we went to open the boot but it wont open... the top half will open but the main boot which is electrical does not do anything.

There does not seem to be any way to open it with a key or from inside the car so does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the problem? Money is a bit tight so a garage is the last resort....

Thanks guys....:)

this thread i started a few weeks ago might help you - https://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/296948-stilo-remote-central-locking-not-working.html

to open your boot as it is you need to poke a screwdriver from inside the boot into a small hole just below where the locking mechanism is this should release the lock and let you open your boot.

is your keyfob not working either?

some one else on here recently managed to replace their microswitch in the boot handle with one from maplins.

My microswitch somehow got damp and kept opening the boot rendomly. I just prised it out, opened it up, patted it down with a paper towel and let it dry out in the sun for 20 mins...

One thing to check is on the main system menu, that "ind. Boot" is not set to on. If it is, you can only open with the keyfob, and if that's not working... but if Ind Boot is off, you can use the microswitch in the boot handle, which, lets face it, you have to grab to open the tailgate anyway...
