Reversing out of a steep downhill drive last week (well steady), put steering on full lock at bottom and heard an almighty metallic crack! Got out of car as I thought I had hit something - but nothing to hit. Started driving off and heard sound of bouncing metal on road. Found piece of front spring (half circle) on road.

24 hours before warranty expired - how luckys that!

Anyone else had this happen? If I hadn't been wary and switched music off I would not have heard metal on road, not found anything, and would be driving around with faulty suspension.

worrying on a relativly new car,had springs snap before(or more crack) but on my old bangers.once had a lower suspension arm snap in 2 on the motorway which was fun

id say you where very lucky i had his happen to me on a roundabout a few year back... at speed not only did the spring break but it sent my car into the round about kerbing my alloy and the broken end of the spring went through my tyre.... this was not a good day.. hope you get it sorted ok!
