Hello

When the engine is started the orange flashing airbag light flashes a bit then goes out (stays on when passenger airbag is deactivated - that one!). Is it normal for this light to flash a couple of times whilst driving? My wife noticed it when she was driving, it was just her in the car.

Please don't tell me it indicates an airbag fault, I don't want it for a 3rd time :(

Thanks

Phil

could be a dodgy connection somewhere?

If when turning the ignition
key to MAR, the warning
light ¬ does not turn on or if it stays
on when travelling
(together with the
message on the display) there could
be a failure in safety systems; in this
event air bags or pretensioners could
not trigger in case of impact or, in a
minor number of cases, they could
trigger accidentally. Contact Fiat
Dealership immediately to have the
system checked
seems like it would stay on and give a essage if a fault was detected

the red one accompanies the beep beep beep and MFD warning... theres no reason that i can see why the amber would illuminate unless theres a fault with the airbag isolation switch/wiring.
custard is that quote in relation to the RED or AMBER dash warning light?

whichever light comes on with MAR

Anyway I'm getting the preheat fault checked out this weekend and some other things before I put it through its MOT. A friend of ours is a mechanic, hes been a very useful bloke to know (y).

Just why is it that despite these faults, rattles and spending quite a few £££'s, I still love the car and enjoy driving it :)
