I've had my oil pressure warning light pop on about 4 times over the past week on my 52 plate 1.6, normally it's come on twice in quick succession.

It comes on and immediately goes off again. I checked the oil level and it's at the max level & the car is running fine.

Likely to be a faulty sensor and not an actual pressure problem?

Cheers

So this has popped up again, only when turning right a bit sharpish. Happens on a specific roundabout on the way to work (it's a bit like a chicane).

I did an oil & filter change after shadeys advice. The oil level is fine also.

Anything else I should look at?

I does that in right turns since the sensor is on a right side of the oil pan.

But for me only did when was lacking oil. That was before main bearing spun on #4.

Oh and check that dip stick has oil on both sides of measuring part.

Because dip stick barrel is bent before end and when you push your stick into it you scrape some oil from the wall of dip stick barrel and when you extract stick you see oil on it and you think oh great I have oil but later that day you go 200 kph and bang! scrape! boom! main bearing spun.

So check that it was really dipped into oil.
