It's Tutela Technyx transmission oil 75W-85. You'll need about 1.8 litres - maybe a bit less. Just fill it till it starts flowing out of the filler hole.
The drain plug is at the rear near the bulkhead, now where near the drive shaft on the 6 speed. I took pics when I changed mine a few weeks back, will up load the min a bit
when changing oil in a gearbox or differential (RWD) always (and i mean ALWAYS) break loose the filler plug before you do the drainplug.
It's quite embarrassing if the filler plug is stuck and the oil is already drained.
Any chance on uploading those pictures please as I have had a look and I cant find the drain bolt. The only ones I can find is a allen key bolt and about 3 inches lower and 13mm bolt, both are on the front.
Ah, I think I see it now. So it's a sunken hex, like the filler plug? Must say it is very obscure. No wonder everyone had such a problem finding it. Many thanks for posting the pics.
Yep it is, like you say a little hidden, took me on my second attempt to find it. When you look at the gearbox as a whole though it's in a logical place as its at the very lowest point of the box
