'SOME' Audi drivers are getting as bad as 'SOME' BMW drivers for generally dangerous driving IMO. I've also noticed (and it's just an observation - so I could of course be wrong) but I tend to be tailgated an awful lot more by women drivers now-a-days (I'll just wait for the flak now)!!

I wouldn't want to have a high speed smash in anything to be honest. :D

Agreed but the Smart is about the last car I'd want to be involved in an accident in, small, short wheel base, little in the way of crumple zones...flippin dangerous if you ask me.

What about the Smart roadster???? I bet it's no more dangerous to crash in one of them than in any small car. To be honest i'd rather crash in a Smart roadster than in say a Picanto or a Matiz(don't know what they're called in the UK, it's the small Daewoo)!!!!

Its just those really short squat ones that look really dangerous - not that any car is going to be great at high speed in the wrong situation. I guess the problem with the roadster might be how low it is and possibility of squating down and getting thrust under a truck in a collision.

I've seen the crash test footage for a smart - upon impact the whole car seems to deform like a tennis ball bouncing on the ground, then springs back to its original shape. Looks pretty good after the crash - the only problem is if your in the zone that has temporarily deformed during the crash!

some corsa was tailing me so i stuck my rear foglights on and pulled away he must of through i had some F1 car acceleration.

I hate when people put their main beams on it just makes u drive slower because u cant see nothing so u have to come to a stop! But i still do it to others mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The thing i hate is when your driving along an unlit road at night and the car behind flashes you. but i have a secret weapon for when they overtake, i flash THEM with my double power bulbs in the four angel eyes and the head lights, it looks like i have a set of football ground floodlights attached to the front of my car :). (granted its not my stilo, but my panda old shape).

the undrstanding I had is that the smart has no crumple zones whatsoever. i think the idea is that it eats into the other cars crumple zone, whilst it stays relatively intact. I made a concerted effort to avoid head-on collisions with other smart owners. Would have been like a game of conkers.
Will post pics of new car when i get the software for my camera loaded. Just a bit lazy really. :yuck:

don't all smarts have that "triton" safety cell thing which is the grey bit surrounding the doors??

Last year I think it was fifth Gear on channel 5 drove one head on into a concrete block and it came away with the safety cell intact. :bang:
