Hi,

I am new to this site - although I have scouted tips off it previously! I am now stuck.

My Fiat Stilo Sporting 1.9JTD 150bhp (is this a rare car? I seem to have probs finding people with the same model!) - anyway the clutch has lost pressure and I am struggling to get it into gear. If I pump it, it does engage for a while but the pressure drops again quickly. The pedal is almost on the floor before any resistance is felt. Does this problem suggest a particular failure? Can anyone offer any help on getting this fixed? I have heard about bleeding the hydraulic clutch but cannot find a nipple! Desperate before I fork out on a garage repair I may not need.....

ps - The car is a 56 model, with 91k on the clock.

Many thanks
Darren

You need a new slave cylinder and its inside the gearbox its called a concentric slave cylinder. I know this because I have a 2007 150Mjet with only 27000 on the clock and its being done at a garage today. The bleed nipple is on top of the gearbox it will bleed and last about 3 or 4 weeks but you will still need to get a new cylinder the fluid will be leaking very small amount but it will still be leaking. So its time to bite the bullet and get it booked in unless you can diy.
