Hi all,
Suddenly my Fiat Stilo Mjet 1,9 1st, 2nd and rear gears got stiff. When engine is OFF gear change is smooth, but when engine is ON it’s very hard to switch 1st and 2nd gears.
Changed gearbox oil – no changes. There no “alien” sounds even with high RPM. As far as I can tell there is no “clutch dragging”. Cables looks ok.
Talked to couple local garages (general, not specialized in fiat’s). Booth of them said: It most likely the gearbox itself and they want to disassemble gearbox to identify the problem (it spell expensive).
Any ideas what can be wrong with my fiat ? I’m not really in the mood to stash 200 pounds just “to identify the problem”.

Very stange. Had the same problem on my fiat stilo schumacher few weeks back and the gearbox went. it still sat in a garage now.
