Hi all,

Just come back off holiday and gone to get in my car to go to work only to find some scum bag or scum bags have broken into it.

The drivers side windows is completely shattered glass all over the car.

I don't want to go through my insurance because I lose a years no claims for glass replacement.

Any advise from you lot would be great. Im getting sick of this, my last car was broken into as well. Can't have anything to yourself these days.

To make it worse my car is kept in an underground secure car park where you need a key fob to beep you in, so somebody has let said scumbags into the carpark no questions.

Good stuff.

Anyone know of anyone breaking a stilo I could maybe get the glass from?

Sorry to hear about that, we have been looking for a non runner to buy as a donor car, take the bits we need and sell the rest on. If I find one I will let you know. I have the space to park one and strip it and my son needs various bits for his as he recently crashed it, I just havent found one yet but I will let you know if I do or if find a place that is breaking one.

If its a secure carpark wouldnt that make them liable? search stilo breaking on ebay and you will get lots of results just message them all. Is it the same place as last time?

i can sympathise with you. i had my Integra Type R broken into one new years eve.It was heart wrenching to find the window smashed, door frame bent and roof damaged where they tried to jemmy it open. Didn't take anything from it or 4 other cars done that night.

were any other cars done as well and do you think it was vandalism of an attempted theft?

Thanks for that. I think I have sourced one from a breakers. Got a lad coming round tonight to fit it.

I'm not sure what path to take with regards to liability. Yes its secure in the sense there are big iron doors that you can only open with a key, but there can never be anything to stop people walking in behind a car as they take an age to close so I doubt anything would come from it.

The last time it happend it was at my previous address in Wigan and that was a different car. Last time whoever did it stole my DVD Player, SUB, AMP and CD's. Buggers.

There were no other cars done in my car park as far as I can see but havent really been down to look. They threw a brick threw the window and nicked the sat nav from the glovebox. There was loads of other stuff they could have took but didnt.


Cheers for the replies guys. It's been a massive inconvienience to say the least. CSI & Police came to my flat last night and they couldn't find any finger prints, blood or hair etc so once again they are going to get away with it.

Are there no cameras? I'd be pretty pissed off that someone's managed to get in or one of the tenants has allowed someone in. Someone must've seen your car with the sat nav in if they knew to target it whilst the sat nav was in the glovebox, surely? Seems abit too random to be purely oportunist. I'd have words with the buildings management company if it has one, make sure they have records of where all the key fobs are (ie with flat-holders) & if any are unnacounted for get them blocked.

You no doubt pay a premium for having a secure parking space so kick-up stink with those in charge if i was you.

ALL FIXED NOW!!! Mate came round last night and fitted new window. Took about an hour and a half to get rid off all glas from behind the door card and fit new window.

Needs a full valet as there is glass all over the interior and that I cant get too. So annoying.

There are a few cameras in there Liam I am just waiting to here back from the management company to see if my cars is visible. I believe a few cars have been done in and around the area although mine was the only one done in the 'Secure' car park.

You do have to pay extra for the car parking normally but as I live in the 'Luxery' apartment it comes with parking but either way it is frustrating that it has been allowed to happen. I'm not sure kicking up a fuss would get me anywhere although I would love to I just dont think its worth it.

Glad it's all sorted except the valeting - i'm in Manchester on 22nd Oct & don't wanna be riding solo for the Crystal Green Crew on those mean streets!

Just see where you get with the management - as you're the minted lad in the luxury pad they might treat you like royalty

Bugger, hadn't been online so just saw this.

I was in the City Centre, my mate lives near the Mancunian Way end of Deansgate & we went out in the City Centre. I kept an eye out but only saw a couple of 5 door Stilos

Doh. My mate's in one of the Citygate buildings just off Mancunian Way.

Stilo's coulda chatted Italian to eachother Should be back in December - will be more organised next time.

Very strange. My g/fs sister lives in city gate in deans gate. We live at the other end of manc way. Each give us a pm next time you're around.
