I am a old irregular on this forum. This forum is probably the only reason I still have the Stilo. You guys are marvellous. Thanks to the information contained here I am now tackling new rear pads and discs and bushes. I have the old brake pads and discs off, and as advised by forum users, the pistons were an absolute monster to work with. I omitted to get the Fiat wind back tool and my mechanic friend broke his wind-back tool doing the job for me!!
As the car is currently up on axle stands for the brakes to get replaced, I reckon that now is the time to do the rear bushes too. They have been hanging out of the car for a very ling time now, but I shouldn't put the job off any longer.
My dilemma is that it is too late for me to take the necessary ride-height measurements to allow re-building of the car once the bushes are replaced.
Would some of you be so kind as to take the time to get the tape measure out and let me know the perpendicular distance between arch and one other point? eg top of tyre / wheel centre, actual ground surface, what ever, which ever measurement you feel would be most sensible ( my tyre measurements are 205/55R16 at 30psi on the common Fiat twin spoke alloys, in case that has any effect on height)

I will be following the forum advice and will have the new bushes milled by 0.15/0.2, but i would also be curious if anyone has used heat on the bush housing to assist in re-fitting?

many thanks for taking the time to read this and for considering a fellow stilo-monkeys needs.
