hi all. went to turn of ignition after medium run it had been raining and i had to go through some big puddles but didnt faze her until i got home. when i turned off ignition she kepted runing. i thought this was wierd mad even. put key back in and turned on and she stoped. any way went to go out in her this morning and the battery was dead {battery only 2 months old} changed battery and she wont fire up she turns over fine and now says car security failure on display. she already has engine check light on perm and some times the EBD ABS ASR come on when going 80/90. turbo dosent come in so driving in limp mode all the time. have done maf map egr and boost control. can someone help me bring her back to life. 02 stilo jtd 115:bang:

How are you managing 80/90mph without the turbo?

My old 115 JTD lost all boost and it would not do 50mph.

Sounds like you have water in the fuse board under the bonnet. Try removing it and drying it out over night on a hot radiator.

have to b on long road takes for ever. not know 4 sure turbo is not working but i carnt hear it and car very slow exel and wont rev over 3000

First if your battery is new , check the alternator (charging)
ABS/ASR errors are caused by flat battery.
Car security i saw once, after forgetting to connect D4, so you can check it.

For the limp mode - unplug your maf and drive, if no difference - unplug your MAP and do a short test drive.

Off course a DTC scan with FES would be the preferred method :D

Took fuse box behind battery off & apart & cleaned & dry'ed it.Part of the circuit was corroded & looked wet.Obviously water got in from the puddles which gave me the immediate problem of car security failure, which is now sorted. Thanks guys.

Its quite difficult to slpash water from the wheels into the engine bay fuse box if all the covers are in place, are you sure it was a puddle? The most common reason for water to get into the engine bay fuse box is using a pressure washer to clean the engine bay. Have you or anyone else used a pressure washer in the engine bay recently?

If so its probabely the cause of you problems.

Left my battery cover off once while doing something under the bonnet. On the way back from a test drive I went through the car wash. Got about 200 yards then Christmas tree and kangraroo. :(

It's not only a pressure washer that can force water in.

I've never used a pressure washer on my car.I haven't got a battery cover it got broken by a clumsy mate of mine who stood on it!Going to sort that out but my main problem is engine check light stays on & have no power, seems like turbo's not working as i cant hear it! Revs stick in all gears but 5th. Done the maf & blanked egr.
