The black door pillars on the Chicken were looking a bit the worse for wear - especially the rear doors, where it seems people like to push the door closed using the pillar rather than the door handle... some of the black had worn away, looked very untidy.
Anyhow, a cheap and cheerful solution that works - get some scuff covering liquid shoe polish, and give it a general good coating - the brushmarks dry away, leaving a nice black showroom finish. Use the scuff covering stuff rather than general polish or cleaning stuff though.... it's also good for any black trim, scuffs etc.
