Hello, I'm guessing all STILOs are unique... I require help in pointing me in the correct direction please...

I have a registered version of FES 3.2. I had a new ELM327 v1.4. I can connect my laptop to ELM and connects fine. I can plug into OBD socket and using FES check the settings on the ELM and test. All comes back fine.

If I scan my vehicle I get engine computer only.
Bosch EDC15C7 CF3/EOBD Diesel Injection (1.9, 2.4)
connects fine, works fine, no issues...

I'm a bit lost as to why I can't see any of these?

Marelli Connect
Visteon Instrument Panel
CAN Info
CAN Setup / PROXI Alignment Procedure
Marelli Body Computer
Marelli MF Body Computer
Marelli climate control
Boot (BITRON)
Boot (G.E. PROCOND)
Driver's Door (BITRON)
Driver's Door (G.E. PROCOND)
Passenger's Door (BITRON)
Passenger's Door (G.E. PROCOND)
Valeo parking control |

Any help greatly received.
David.

The list says I should connect to all of those items without mods to the cable.
a standard ELM should find them... I have a 1.9JTD 8v.
I did mod the cable as per adapter cable1 ELM pins 7 linked to 7+ 1,9,12 and then found the power steering and the abs. Got a few Errors from the dash also.

Am I still missing something?

David.

You have to select the correct ECU to connect to.

I've attached a screen shot of how you select Marelli Body Computer.

With the F11 key I only find the Engine ECU on the scan. If I try to connect to the climate ECU it says unable to connect. I'm still unsure why I don't see any other ECUs on the scan. I have the non blutooth version of your ELM327, I have a 2004 stilo MW. Possibly 2003 build - will this make a difference?

I'm still at a loss.

Like I said previously.

Different leads are neaded to connect to different ECU's.

Have a read of this.

My elm cable(bluetooth) connects to most of those ECU's you have listed without any modification or adaptors. If yours doesn't you may have purchased a cheap ELM copy. Linking pin 7 to other pins via a micro switch can solve the problem but my advice is buy a good quality ELM cable in the first place and save yourself the hassle.

Perhaps you could return the cable for a refund if its not able to connect to the ECU's the seller said it would?

Thank you both for advice, on further investigation and internet research I have removed some components from my cheap PIC chip ELM327 copy.
Now working fine. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for. £
