Hi There

I tried the Free FiatECUscan today.. Works grate was able to use the actuater and could hear all the bits tick. I however had the following Faul Codes:

U1600 - Invalid Signal
Ui706 - No Signal
PO500 - Vehicle Speed Signal
PO571 - Brake Pedal Switch
PO685 - Main Relay

What does all this mean and do I have serious problems?

Please advise.

I also wanted to use the Adjustments, but it told me that i need a registered version.:(

Unless you have any noticeable problems with the car, they could be stored codes from previous faults or from where someone has been disconnecting things for test purposes.

Clear them all and use the car as normal for a few days then read the codes again.

Thanks for your reply. Dont realy have problems. I will check this in a couple of days again.

Thanks

U1600 - car immo
Ui706 - Can Data Bus
PO500 - Vehicle Speed Signal - what engine it is ? jtd's should get this info from ABS sensors, jtd105 gets it from a sensor attached at the back of the gearbox
PO571 - Brake Pedal Switch, this is Cruise Control Related
PO685 - Main Relay - main ECU relay

Nothing personal MEP but just because the car may not have CC, it may still have CC wiring to the brake switch, this would make it possible for it to still throw a fault.

My car was 'semi-pre-disposed' with CC (ie it was wired from the ecu to the multiplug by the battery) and it has the brake 'kill' circuit for the CC... i know this because i installed CC and it knocked off when depressing the brake;):p
