I would say I'm of average height, but whenever I pick my car up from my Fiat dealership I end up getting in the car and falling into the back seat. The seat is always set back as far and as low as it will go. Do Fiat only employ service engineers over 7 foot?

And another thing. If you mention about any rattles and squeaks they then claim not to hear anything when they've taken the car out (perhaps they should try turning the radio off!). But, naturally, as soon as you get in the car to drive home you are accompanied by the various rattles and squeaks you originally reported. Grrrr. [!]

It seems its not just Fiat that have those people working for them, As well as our Fiat we have a Rover and whenever ive taking it in for work the seats in the same position as you say, miles back and at the lowest hight. Damn annoying. oh and for squeaks and rattles, the clutch was done on the same rover and a secure nut wasnt fully tightened, the forman claimed it was the gearbox with fresh oil in it.

Excuse the Rover reference but it seems all dealers seem to be as bad as one another for claiming somethings not there when it is.

In my local town center the "boy racers" all seem to have their cars set up as above with the seat right back and looking through the dashboard.

Hopefully your fiat garage haven't one of these types to drive your car about the garage.

All dealers of all makes seem to do the far-back-low-seat thing after they've had your car. Bloody annoying.

Having seen the technicians at most dealerships I think that we all are suffering from "boy racers" when we hand our cars over.

But then again - Who apart from wide-boy boy racers wants to be an apprentice mechanic on the crap money they pay!!
