hi all, i cleaned my maf and map sensor this week, i used cotton buds and carb/ break cleaner its a tin can (carb+break cleaner in one) no contact cleaner though

everything went well as in mpg went up a lot in my opinion as i have a heavy foot.

the problem is that it goes like a tank up to 3000rpm then it goes flat then it kicks back in and goes like a tank again

so i dont know what it is. haven't checked the pipes from the turbo or intercooler yet, waiting on my car ramps to come back to have a propa look underneath.

any ideas?????

havent cleaned the egr valve yet as it wont come off - bolts are to tight

 
well wen my ramp arrive back to me hopefully this weekend then i can get it up in the air and pull all the pipes off and check them, so hopefully it will only be a split pipe as it does whistle abit, well allot sometimes.

what about the piece of pipe connecting to the boost valve, i think its a small blue pipe. should i check that uswell??
 
i have had my ramps back this afternoon and just finished checking all the pipes. they seem to be fine, only thing that was loose well hanging on buy a small cable tie was the oil catch box, so iv put a new jiwbely cable on it now so that good. just dont know where the noise is coming from (the turbo whistling noise) and that kicks in about 2500rpm.

havent taken it for a test drive yet so will had to find out if i fixed it,

question - is there ment to be oil in the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler??????
