Anybody have a schematic for the original Stilo CD stereo?

Is it possible to trick it into thinking there's a CD changer attached and feed audio, eg from and MP3 player, down the changer input channel?

There are certain gadgets doing that. Try to look for Loudlink or Xcarlink on the net.
I think there are aux pins inside the Visteon (on the PCB) which you can use but you ll have to put a CD with one "silent" track in. I remember some guy mention that in here but I can't find the post...

Cheers - but pricey! Be chaeper to get a new head unit.
I can't believe that nobody has take the pinouts and worked out how to get a line in on the cd changer line? Does anyone have a pinout diagram?

I can't believe it too!!! I'm looking for an answer to this question for last 2 years!!! Looks like no one has this diagram... I have tried some solutions with cables and resistors but non of them worked.

Please contact me if you find any solution.

Is the Stilo changer a Blaupunkt?
Also, it says on the listing "Only work with aftermarket Blaupunkt. May not work with Factory Blaupunkt car stereo. (i.e Factory Blaupunkt on ALFA) Please make sure about compatibility before buying."
Please let us know if it works!

The blue plug looks identical to the one on the CD interchanger, if the 3.5mm jack is wired to the correct pins I see no reason why it shouldn't work.

How does the head unit switch over to some how to use that input, when it detects something being input or is it done manually?

Problem is that the head unit needs to identtify that there's a changer there, so just connecting the audio channels won't work. It needs some sort of signal pin setting, which is what we don't know...

There is a pin out diagram on the forum somewhere, I've seen it a few times just can't find it now I actually want it. :(

Edit.
Still cant find it on the forum but I found this in my FF Junk folder.

4 Pre Out Front Left
5 Pre Out Front Right

14 Cd Changer Data Out
15 Permanent 12v
16 Switched 12v
17 Bus Ground
18 Aux In Ground
19 Aux In Left
20 Aux In Right

18, 19 and 20 are what the 3.5mm jack is wired to so something from 13 to 17 may be the signal pin. 13 and 14 maybe?

They should work. You should be able to get one that connects to an iPod line out dock and some even come with a power cable so it will charge it too.

This cable is only adapter from 3.5mm stereo connector to CD changer connector. On this connector you have only 3 pins (aux left, aux right and aux gnd). I suppose that it will not work with only this cable. The headunit must be switched to Aux input. On front button you can only switch between CD and Tuner. On aftermarket headunits you can choose between CD, Tuner, Aux etc. I suppose that this Visteon headunit must be swithed with some signal on the some pin on the backside connector. The question is which pin and what kind of signal?

I know that. HU probably must be switched on some pin on connector on back side of HU.

Old thread but anyway...

This is for the normal CD and TAPE radio.

You need to connect pins 15 and 16. This will put the HU to CDC mode and mute. CD will continue to play but no sound.
Be careful, this will blow F39

I didn't connect the CDC pins 18-20, so I didn't check whether any sound came out from the speakers.

I need to get smaller pins than 4.8mm to make sure the connection is safe...

Are you tried this? I am tried this now and this doesn't work. Nothing has happend. I couldn't enter in CDC mode.

No, I haven't tried it.
But I may have found an alternative choice for the AUX IN, the Phone mode.
It was on a Turkish Stilo forum.

Here's the translation by Google:
Note: The owner of the user 'ufukata now. Instead, the new taþýnmýþtýr Management.

Cd player and popped in my CD player, such as different olduðunu saw Fatih.
Two 3.5 mm male jack tip ends of the cables are cut and took off one end of the cable.
3 cable HE. Red-white and uncoated cable. Red and White Right and Left, overlay the Beam Pozitioners that.

They like the image of the CD player behind the socket so I spent Yellow Green.

CD player plugged into the headset automatically goes PHONE mode. Çýkarýnca earpiece is returning to normal. PHONE BASS-TREBLE mode, that can adjust the FRONT-BACK AND LEFT-SAD.
Sound quality is near CD quality. No buzzing, etc.. MP3 player and Nokia 5800 baðladým beklediðimden both very very good sound quality.

With trial and error, I did modify a few. Opening in the tape as soon as you insert the tape input on the headset automatically. (Phone mode). Mp3 thirds remained open if switched off the tape çýkarmayýnca earpiece.

Among 'on-off switch in the picture I added the pins 9 and 12. Because the short-circuit yaptýrýnca exceed 9 and 12 are opened PHONE mode. Red and white wire from pin 7 of Jaktan birleþtirip, the only remaining cable baðladým pin number 8.
Now I use the system to turn off switch.
As you can see there's lots of gibberish in it.

Here's the photos:

But this doesn't make any sense. In the pictures red wire goes to C9(MUTE), white goes to C12(Phone grounding/earth) and the shielding/earth goes to C7(Positive signal from the phone)

I did not understand most of text above. I saw somthing like that on youtube. I think that quality of sound not so good in phone mode.
