Has anyone had trouble with their auto wipers at all? Just I sometimes get an error message saying Wiper sensor failed when it actually works fine & with no error message they only work when they want to. :bang:

I've had that plenty of times, often seen in conjunction with Parking sensor failure. It seems to go off after a short while, and doesn't stop the wipers doing the impression of working that they are so good at.

I might ask fiat to plug the car in, and see what the computer says..

yip had this one - got it when there was ice on the windscreen over winter but it never stopped it working. I got an engine fault the other day after I stalled it :p. It took a few restarts to clear i which was a worry, especially as the car was three years old to the day the day before!

dont have this on a punto, we have a big glass window in front of us, when it rains you can see wet spots on the window and then switch on your wipers yourself, how cool is that :) :p
True, but Auto wipers is slightly different - it basically takes over from the intermitent wipe.

On my Mondeo, I had 5 or 6 speeds for intermitent wipe, and I was forever playing with it, depending on type of downpour, and changing conditions as you drove. Both my Ulysse and Stilo have autowipers, and they are great [although Ulysse seems to work slightly better] - stops you having to change from 'wipers off, wipers on, intermitent, flick wipe' - therefore more time to play with other gadgets in the car, like autolights :p
