Hi All, Im New To This Site And Was Wondering What Are The 5 Top Things To Do / Improve On The Stilo.
I've Got 02 16v 1.6 Stilo, Had 1.1 Punto Before It And Only Sold It Cos Of Kids Getting Bigger...
I Have Seen Them Chips On Ebay But Don't Fancy Playing With It, Are They Any Good ?
Any Other Improvements You Can Think Of ?
Or Any Ideas On Outside Improvements ?, I Have Seen Ariels On Stilos Only 4 In And Silver. What Do You Think ?.
Cheers Unrealuk.

Improvements on a 1.6 - see Twincamms current setup :)

I would go for Eibach springs, drop it 35mm or so - this will sharpen up the handling immensely.

Then maybe look at upgrading to 17" alloys?! Although I am currently on 16s and have no real reason to change from in the foreseeable future, unless the price is right (y) [I have just purchased 4 new 205/55/16 Bridgestones...] - this would fit in nicely with the Eibachs, though.

Unfortunately a fuel remap on the 1.6 is not an option, yet.

Exhausts? Another way to maybe get a bit more power.

And induction - a few guys have the K&N57i on, although I run a CDA BMC on my 2.4.

All depends on how much you have to spend? :)

The chips from my local chinese are'nt bad. :D
Cda & supersprint exhaust definately the way to go. & Stu the Eibach springs are only a 30mm drop BTW. Welcome to the forum unreal.

i'd been wanthing to ask what lol means for quite a while now but didn't cause i didn't wnt to sound stupid!!!!!!!!! :p
Well, it's good to know now

the CDA induction kit must be a beauty as it says "for track use only"
just out of question has anyone got one on a car that needs a MOT i dont know why im asking as mine doesnt
how long it take to fit?
is it a big job?

'Track use' for US law only, I presume....

I got first MOT coming up in July this year - my dealerships knows I have one fitted, so can't see it being an issue.

As for fitting? Well, Alfanige did mine on the 2.4 - not something I would contemplate, but I am not that way inclined, lol.

It depends if you buy the proper kit or not. They only do a proper kit with all the necessary brackets & fittings for the abarth. For any other model you would have to buy a universal kit but this should still not be a problem to fit.

Was there a handling pack /lowered suspension option from the dealer originally on the Stilo Abarth?
Just wondering as it's often better to fit Fiat supplied springs as then you don't have to declare them on the insurance

If this was an option, which I don't think there was for the Stilo, it would still need to be declared for insurance purposes surely? Whether it would affect the premium is a different matter.
