You might need a new battery. Take taking out your battery and try fully charging it and make sure the battery terminalsare clean/

Fiat Ecu Scan may reset service reminders. Young have to wait for one of the pros to confirm that.

Esp / asr failures etc sounds like flat battery although that it just heresay from the forum. I have had 3 fiats including 2 Stilos and never had probllems when the battery get tired. (my batts get well used to say the least)

The service re-set thing has been covered on here numerous times before and AFAIR the conclusion was that it can only be done at a FIAT dealer (more's the pity).

I've just learned to live with it. I know my car's been properly serviced and that's what really matters...

i just got the auro electrician to check it .what should i be doing

If an auto-electrician has tested it, I'd assume it was done correctly, however, Stilos are known for electriclal problems caused by a low power battery.

To avoid most of the common problems it needs the biggest, highest power battery you can fit in the battery box.

To reset the service indicator with FiatECUScan you would need an ELM327 (version 1.3 or later) interface and cable.

The 16 pin diagnostic connector is at the top of the dashboard fuse box behind the cover in front of the driver's right knee (for RHD cars). The cable would need to be modified by soldering some of the pins together to connect to the various ECUs on the Stilo.

Alternatively, Gendan sell the ELM327 interface, cable and a set of adaptor cables so you don't need to do any modifications. http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FESHW.html
.

Crikey! Have you seen the price they're asking for those leads?!!!

I thought £74.95 a reasonable price for the ELM327 v1.4 interface and cables, a VAG-COM cable and all 3 of the adaptor cables including postage.

They also sell just the 3 adaptor cables for £18.95. http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FESCBL.html

Handy for anyone who's not happy about soldering.
