Has anyone tried to install-connect an Abarth dashboard to any other Stilo model?

It would be an interesting approach.

It has that active colour matrix display which does'nt appear on any other models, plus ESP/ASR warning lights which only the Abarth, 1.8 16v & JTD have. Most of the warning lights on the abarth are on that display where as on other models they have singular lights beneath the water temp/fuel gauges.

The Matrix display has been dropped from later models.

And would the new dash fit into the CAN system? Seems like too much hassle to me, better off buying an Abarth to begin with.

I would buy one if i could afford it!!!!!! Us non-abarth owners have to meke do with what we have and if we can improve what there is...... we do it!!!!!!

The only real difference is the Abarth has white dials but I believe Lockwood now do a white dial kit for the Stilo. I think they usually retail between £20-30.

You can connect the Abarth dash to a regular Stilo model.
The goodies include:
- TFT matrix display with arrow navigation (requires CN+)
- cool white dials

Downside:
- Error messages for parking sensors and loose connection (oil pressure etc.)

I have fitted the Abarth dash and haven't regretted it yet.

Best,
Lars.

So how did you to it????? Was it difficult at all???? And what do you mean you get error messages from the parking sensors, are the sensors connected to the trip computer in any way????

I just put the white dials in the shopping basket and continued to checkout. The first thing you have to do is choose if you live in Germany, another EU country or outside the EU. So in short; they do deliver to Spain and England.
I haven't actually ordered anything, yet. ;)

I have no idea if they are hard to fit, but i may order some when i get my Stilo.

You can also try this:
http://www.autostyle.nl

Just do a search for interior styling for Fiat Stilo. (y)

You can't actually order anything directly from this site :( , you have to find what dealer in you country which is selling autostyle stuff (can be found under Autostyle Dealers).
