car was in for service/mot today and was informed that the two new tyres that they fitted last year, where showing signs of uneven wear and one was needing replaced, and the barstewards charged us for said tyre.
Although when pressed said they would contact fiat on this matter. damn annoying, only 8000 miles done on those two tyres.

8000 miles on a tyre! that is awful considering I'm on set one with 32000 on the clock, really doesn't sound right. I would have thought 20000 miles for a set is more reasonable with modern tyres. I hope I dont get similar problems when I change the fronts shortly.

Do you have the 17" rims? I had these fitted from new, maybe that has helped.

Definetly doesnt appear right, even had the service manager conceed that one.
The original tyres managed till 26k when they where found to have uneven wear with the suposed fix done.
In comparison the tyres on the brava are upto 28k now (from new) and they still have 3mm on all tyres.
The rims are just the standard 15" steels.

did you get a new rear sub axle last time? I got one of these under warranty as this was supposed to solve the problem - so far so good after 2k miles on new tyres.

rear sub axel? defenetly not. So the rear axel is suppost to resolve thing thats happening with the front tyres?

that's what they done for me and told me it would cure it. Just had the 3rd service and MOT today, it passed and they didn't reort any tyre problems on the four I replaced last year. Tyre wear reported as 6.7 mm all round.
