hi everyone. hopefully a quick one. i've recently noticed a squeak whilst i'm driving. it only seems to happen when i first set of driving untill i get to about 20 MPH then it stop's . or it will stop when i begin to brake. it seems to be coming from the rear of the car. any ideas.

Does it happen only over bumps,or does it sound more rotational? Brakes rubbing slightly?

Check your rear brakes you could have a pad
sticking and holding the pad to tightly against
the disc. If you change the pads the calipiers
wind back in different rotations one's a left handed
thread the others a right handed thread.

hi. it only seems to happen after i've driven on the M62 for 42 miles coming from work when i'm on the A62 . i had the rear disks and pads replaced last year. yes it does sound like rotational grinding, thought dispelled the rear brakes with them not being on too long.

Don't assume just because the rear brakes
were done a short while ago.
We have had a bad winter more salt on the road
and the rear pads can rust and stick in position
causing the squeal. Mine did the same a couple
of months ago. Squeal was intermitent to start
with then all the time. You don't half get some
funny looks.
