has anyone had this on their car, every time i turn the ignition on, the dash display says "service coupon expired"? and a little spanner starts flashing? i'm assuming i've missed the service schedule so how do i clear it?
i've missed the service schedule so how do i clear it?
https://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/216751-fiatecuscan-diagnostic-software-11.html?p=2705333does it have to be the paid version of fes?
does it have to be the paid version of fes?
Earlier versions of FES didn't need to be registered to reset the service interval.
http://www.fiatecuscan.net/i'm a little bit "old hat" when it comes to software, what is FES?
Unfortunately not, but you CAN do the service reset with the pre-v2.31 Free versions IIRC.I do have a hand held plug in diagnositic reader, will that be able to clear it?
Interesting post guya.
Ive been looking into this myself. i think you need one of these to leads VagCom KKL or ELM 327
Any advice on which to fit an 2005 stilo and were to but would be great.
I cant seem to find any fiat onces
thanks fletch
Both...
http://www.fiatecuscan.net/
FES is 49.95 (EUR)
Vagcom lead is about £10 delivered off ebay
ELM lead is about £12 delivered off ebay
Patch Leads for reading ABS, Steering and SRS(Airbag) systems can be purchased for less than £20 http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FESCBL.html
the VagCom and ELM give different functionality within FES
so its less than £90 all in... compare this to how much your dealer would charge each time just to reset a MIL (CEL/Engine Light) or dash warning, let alone diagnosis and or repair of a fault.
get FES, get SPANNERS and get LEARNING!! theres enough knowledge on here to blow dealers out of the water and were open 24/7/365 we wont B/S you and were a friendly bunch (most of the time)
I wonder if someone would be kind enough to produce an 'idiots guide' on DIY dianostics for IT dummies like me. With specific details on what kit and software is needed, where to get it, how to joint it all up and use it..?
Everything you need to know can be found here:

Thank you. However it does assume some knowledge...like what an OBD is, looks like and can be obtained from. (Sorry I did say an idiot's gudie!).
