has anyone had this on their car, every time i turn the ignition on, the dash display says "service coupon expired"? and a little spanner starts flashing? i'm assuming i've missed the service schedule so how do i clear it?

You can reset it with the registered version of FES and an ELM327 interface.
Takes less than 10 seconds. FES, brilliant bit of software.

I had the same thing after a service, the garage forgot to do the reset.
I don't have the software nor the interface so I took it back for a reset.
Have you recently been in the shop? if so take it back as they should do it for you.

does it have to be the paid version of fes?
Earlier versions of FES didn't need to be registered to reset the service interval.

well as luck happens its going in on friday for a cam belt? do you reckon they'll charge? i'm a little bit "old hat" when it comes to software, what is FES? i do have a hand held plug in diagnositic reader, will that be able to clear it?

Think of it as "Fiat Examiner for a PC/Laptop" (= Fiat's multi-thousand-£ Dealer-Diagnostics system) ... Even better in some ways, and getting better all the time.
It's TRULY excellent and almost a "must-have" tool for any Fiat/Alfa owner ... The Free version can be quite useful on its own, but the circa £45 Lifetime Registration for the full features is WELL worthwhile.
Unfortunately not, but you CAN do the service reset with the pre-v2.31 Free versions IIRC.

Ive been looking into this myself. i think you need one of these to leads VagCom KKL or ELM 327
Any advice on which to fit an 2005 stilo and were to but would be great.

ELM lead is about £12 delivered off ebay

the VagCom and ELM give different functionality within FES
so its less than £90 all in... compare this to how much your dealer would charge each time just to reset a MIL (CEL/Engine Light) or dash warning, let alone diagnosis and or repair of a fault.
