I'm very confused. I was driving my new Abarth along some twisty lanes yesterday and I could swear there are marshmallows between the wheels and the car. I had a good look around in the wheel arches afterwards but I can't see them anywhere!

I can't believe there are no posts about how badly the Abarth handles for a supposedly sporty car.

Yeah I agree! There is plenty of grip but the rolly-polly nature of the handling doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
I also find the car pitches and dives quite noticably under acceleration and braking, a feature which is highlighted more by the selespeed gearbox.
I chose the Abarth over the Alfa 147 because of the spec and performance but having driven a 147 courtesy car during the last service I have to say I prefer the 147's handling and steering. That's why I'm saving hard for a 147 GTA next year.:D

I´ve driven my Abarth (and a manual one) on the Zandvoort Race-track and it behaves wonderfully, even without lowering springs. Models with 16" wheels will squeak their tyres in some corners, but it never misbehaves, courtesy of the ESP probably :D

The race-drivers/instructors who gave a demo of what it could really could do said it was a pretty good ride for a standard road-car. Was there in the UK also a Fiat organized event like that for Abarth drivers?
