Disconnecting the car battery(just remove the negative lead) over night causes the ECU to reset. Sometimes this helps the car reconfigure keys. Give it a try before you decide to give Fiat your hard earned pennies ...

Hi everybody :)
From a week I have the same problem. My key stopped working. The Led flashes; - no lock and unlock, but the engine starts fine without problem. I have 2 absolutely equal keys, but there is no problem with the second one.
After I read the whole theme here I tried several things, but with no success.
-a)replace the battery in the key fob with new - but nothing
-b)replace the battery with this from my second key - again nothing
-c)disconnect the battery of the car for whole night - nothing
-d)tried to press so many times all buttons ,but....... :(
-e)asked 3 locksmiths,but all of them don't want to do anything :bang::bang:

My second(spare) key doesn't look good and i angry me
Please give some advice,I need a help

I know its a bit late now but I have the same problem and I've been banging my head against the wall with this, a girl I work with's fella hooked it up to a computer which is saying the solenoid in the roof has gone?? Does this sound normal to anyone?

Don't know if this will help, but I have had a problem with the key fob on a Multipla which turned out to be a faulty micro switch. This is the minute switch which sits on the printed circuit board in the key fob. They simply wear out.

Quite easily replaced if you are adept with a very small solding iron!

so 4 years on has anyone actually managed to find out what the problem is? I've tried everything on the forum and like the other guy my key doesnt work for the boot and seeing as fiat are not clever enough to have a manual release im stuck without a boot (which i need for work)

please help guys i dont really wanna go to the dealership

|I think I figured my doblo key out. It must be poor battery connection. If I squeese the key in the middle it works fine. The circuit board must be getting enough current to light up the diode but not enough to do the job it supposed to be doing - opening the door. Will keep you updated.

Hi everyone, I unlocked my car this morning no problem, but half an hour later and I can't lock/unlock the car with the remote. The LED just flashes once quickly when I press the button. I replaced the battery with a brand new one but still the same thing, the LED just flashes once quickly when I press a button.

Anybody know what I can do?

Thanks alot everybody :D

Any change? how to re-sync the key?

Hi All,

same problem here. I have a multivagon with remote not working. Battery is ok, I have measured 3.2 V. Both keys are locking and unlocking ( also starting the car with no problem). When I open the front door all doors are unlocking ( including the boot door )- see in the menu there is option for this. Also removed the battery overnight and nothing change ( except that i need to do time date and all other settings :) ).

Hey, all! I found the answer to my key fob issue! I tried all the things I had seen here but nothing worked. Then My husband thought to check the fuses. One fuse was blown and when we replaced that fuse the key fob works and the hatch opens again! I am one happy camper! Hope you all have as good a luck as I did with this solution!

Do you know which fuses that your husband replaced. Might worth trying to fix this bloody keyfob thingy. [emoji28]

I know this is a old thread, but I landed here last day when I faced same issue. I fixed it by opening the key fob and cleaning the battery terminals on circuit board. It was kind of worn off or some kind of coating on that round. I made few scratches with a screwdriver and phew the key responds pretty well. It was a contact issue for me. Cleaning the round terminal on the circuit board fixed it.
