hi to all
has anyone fitted a ecoteck valve before do they work and is there a noticable differance its surpose to be a altertintive to a induction kit i have a stilo abarth but fitting a induction kit looks like a pig of a job to do.
Unless you fitted one if so do how do you do it.

no idea on fitting one of these valves (though some threads do mention that they use the brake vacum and should the valve fail then you could lose some if not all brake pressure).

I have however fitted A CDA air box....as for a bit of a pig to fit....yes-ish, took an afternoon. The hardest part is 'getting in there' . Two options, one I have done the other I'm not sure if it would work, but logically speaking, it should. Option one; remove the battery and the battery/fuse housing then you have all the room in the world to remove the old box and fit the new box. Option two (untried) would be to put the car on a lift remove the engine bay cover and acces the air box from under the car, then it should be a breeze.

Hope this helps.

We've had..............................

lot's of debates about these valves and no one seems to favour them, my advice is avoid them if you can, a wasted gimmick!

Go for a CDA box or a 57i kit instead.

looking a the cda where do you feed the cold air intake from ive looked around and no one else offers a induction kit for a abarth at the moment so is it better than the k and n as its twice the price ?also how dose it fit to the car as it looks like its universal.
Thanks to all ill go for a induction kit rather than the valve then had a piper cross vector on my old bravo hgt and loved it want that sound a little more power back again. :)
