Both headlights are making a whirring noise and the passenger side is pointing skyward. Not sure why both have suddenly gone?

Is it a bumper and headlights off jobby?

Yes it is unfortunately. Bumper off. Really weird why both have gone at the same time.

Same as weird as my windshield not cracking in 9 years but cracking 20 hours after a new replacement, and again on the opposite side after 3 days...

Some things I just don't bother with to avoid getting really cranky..

You can get access from the wheel arches if your hands are small enough, if you need to do both then bumper off is probably the easier way to go though.

the headlights NEED to come out to change the motors, so yes bumper off, cant get them out with headlights in situ, as you need ot undo two screws holding them in....ive got this down to a tee no, can get bumper off do my fiddlign and put it all back in under 45 mins! (have to be quick cos i have to aim the lights in the local morrisons underground car park)

also i agree, strange they should both go at the same time.....weird one

I think it may be that the drivers side had already gone(whirring noise) as the missus said she's heard it before, so may be they haven't gone at the same time its just I noticed the passenger side pointing skyward and then noticed the other making the same noise.

Bumper of its is then. Another job for the weekend.
