As with all my cars and bikes i am looking to change the bulbs to naughty 100w ones. With this one i am looking to change all the bulbs at once given the apparent hassle it is to change bulbs on the Stilo as i have one indicator bulb loose in the holder on one side and a loose connection on the fog light on the other.

Bearing in mind my Stilo is Jet Blue i am wondering about using clear bulbs to keep the oe look or go for the blue xenon bulbs.

Whaddya reckon guys?

personally i went clear to keep the oem look. with regard to the reflectors that is an issue i have thought about and was hoping other people have tried 100w bulbs and not had a problem. i was more concerned about current draw on the wiring but have never had a problem before (even on an alfa)

and i don't mean chavvy blue led side light bulbs. the thing with the xenon blue bulbs is they give a whiter light than a normal bulb. just trying to get the best lights i can, especially on dipped.

the roads i drive down are tree lined with the branches over hanging the roads so you need top lights.

If you mean Xenon HID then they'll be illegal unless fitted correctly (would cost a fortune).

If you mean so called Xenon blue coated bulbs (lookalikes) then they're just rubbish for light output.

You're best bet is uprated standard halogen (+50 to +90%) which would be legal too (y)

It's worth noting that ANY bulb can fail even a new one so changing then all at once doesn't always make sense.

thanks for that Argonaught. I don't mean HIDs as whilst they give a great light they are only any good as oe equipment.

Obviously i want to change the dipped beam, sort out the indicator and fog light at the same time so whilst both lights are off i may as well do the mains as well for good measure. Reason for asking about the xenon blue 100w jobbies is that in my mr2 they made a big difference. Whiter light but it did seem to lack a bit of depth in spray.

just glad that no one has ticked black bulbs yet:)

First, black bulbs? Did not know you get them. What's the purpose then of having lights? (Or am I blond now?)

As said Osram Night breakers give you the best bang for your buck. Best of all it is a simple swop, old out, new in and Bob's your uncle..............
