I had a problem with the "bonnet open warning" and alarm on my Multiwagon. I'm sure the sensor is the same one used for the "bonnet open warning" on the Abarth. You'll find photo's of my sensor in the thread linked below.

Yup.mine is gone.

I mean I couldn't find it anywhere..not even a wire..strange..maybe in abarth sensor is in different place ?

Most early Stilos have the wiring. Connector is about 25cms to the left of the bonnet catch (which of course as per linked thread is where you should find the switch) but very few ever had the factory alarm fitted - and hence no switch either.

I give up.Couldn't find sensor and any wire..And car shows that bloody bonnet its still open even if its closed.Any one want to buy a stilo with open bonnet ??

Yes it has factory fitted alarm.About history..hmm I just open it to refill windscreen liquid and then I close it ,then I drove about 5 miles,and when I stopped on my driveway warning light goes off. :bang:

The washer reservoir is on the same side as the wiring so there may be a link :chin:

Nope.There is nothing at all.

In that case it's almost certainly been linked out with a shorting link at the position mentioned (post #5). Would make sense from what you've said as would suggest the link has simply fallen out.

How do I find that link ? Can any one tell me where the wires should be connected from bonnet senor ?

Mine is taped up and unused as the car was never fitted with a factory fit alarm.

Could you tell me the colors of the wires,please ?

The Stilo wiring diagram says light blue/dark blue and black/purple, however, on this photo it looks like black and purple.

So I'm certain that there is no wires this colors.. I think will have to go to dealer to sort this out. :bang:

Hello, I have the same problem in a Fiat Stilo 3 door. without opening the hood of this thing came to me while the hood was not open for some time. still not been solved for this problem?
