Hi all. Im looking for a 'seat recognision sensor for my passenger side front seat for the airbag system' so my mechanic tells me...does anyone know what the technical name for this is so i can try and find it second hand?

And does anyone know where i can get one please?

It's called an Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS).

Very occasionally seen them on eBay, otherwise it's a Fiat only part.

Beware that there exists two part numbers. Only the correct one will fit your car. So make sure you order the correct sensor.

As MM says, there are two different OCSs. I depends whether you have leather or cloth upholstery.

im glad i saw this today i was going to strip my leather seat down and fit the ocs with the one from my old cloth interior

does the original poster have cloth or leather seats?

If I remember correctly it had to do with 3 or 5 doors. It was like "all 5 door model and 3 door abarth" and the rest of the 3 doors. Very strange listing, but it is explained it the ePER which I don't have access to at work...

But, you could easily test it before you strip anything. Just make some long thin wires and attach them somehow from one car to the other. Airbag light gone? Then it will work.
