Does anyone else who has heated seats in their Stilo find they only work for about 15 mins then there is no noticeable heat after that?

I have only tried the drivers side so far but it gets nice and warm then seems to cut out and not come back on again.

Fiat Stilo Abarth 3dr. Loden Green, Beige Leather, Sky Window, Cold Climate Pack, 17" Alloys, CD Changer, 260w 8 Speaker Stereo.

Do you think it is a (failing) safety feature? Maybe it is tripping a circuit breaker of some sort, which is then not resetting itself properly.

If you turn the car off, leave it for a while, does it start to work again?

Does it say anything in the manual? A period of 15 minutes would seem reasonable to me as the heater should have cranked up by then. I'm sure after too long it would get rather uncomfortable!

Yes, I thought it might be a safety feature too but I would have thought it would be designed to offer a set temperature for some length of time rather than cut out completely once it gets to a certain temperature just once.

Just looked in the manual and the very brief paragraph doesn't mention anything about any cut out or operating period.

Have already booked the car in for warranty work next week so will ask them then. (The left rear speaker sounds like it's blown already and the tracking is out)
