Hi all.

I have a 2002 stilo 1.6 16v, and the ecu/throttle body has gone and is going to be expensive to repair.

How difficult is it to just swap another 1.6 engine into it, and what things apart from the engine would i need.

Also how easy would it be to swap another engine in. Not to bothered about more power just want something that will be more reliable than the 1.6.

I've had a search but havent really been able to come up with any answers.

The point to remember is that you MUST keep your existing ECU and for that reason it would be very unwise to fit anything but another identical engine to what you have now.
