Hi, i know very little about engines but my fan keeps coming on even though the keys arent even in the ignition. Could this be a problem with the D4 Connector as it happened just after i washed the car? I washed car by hand.

Thanks and any help would be much appreciated, i dont want to keep having to disconnect the battery every time i leave the car lol.

Yay in a bad way. Thanks, That seems to be the problem. So which is the fuse to the fan under the bonnet so I can stop it doin it whilst it's parked up?

It's not unusual for the fan to start (or continue running) just after you turn off the engine - at least now when it's getting hotter outside. But it shouldn't do so for more than about 5 seconds. If it stays on for minutes I'd be worried.

The engine hadn't been running so was cold now the temperature has dropped all is well. Either that or the moisture has evaporated. There is some corrosion on the relays in the engine bay. I'll get a different one next week just in case. Are the fuse boxes the same for all models?
