I have just purchased an immaculate Stilo Abarth manual 2.4 black. The only problem with it is that the sat nav is no operating.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to fix or what to do? The unit does not turn on.

Thanks!!(y)

Doesnt turn on normally means power isn't getting to the unit.

Either cables are not connected it it is damaged.

The first thing I would do is take a look behind the nav and make sure everything looks connected and undamaged.

I have looked at all the Fuses and all are ok. When i plug all 3 connectors into the back of the nav system the screen comes on now but is flickering on the diagonal and runnning across the screen like a skysports news bar!! Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I would look at replacing at a later date... how much is your sat nav???

Has anyone got any other ideas what could be wrong with my Sat Nav?

£125 + Delivery.

In all honestly I would remove it and take it apart and check the interior connections. Losing sync might just be a loose connection from the motherboard to the screen. its just the six screws around the fascia you need to remove to do this.

So if i remove screws and have a look as a non mechanical person but with a brain i would like to add, then if it was a loose wire i would see it?!

Should i check the connections at the back too or will they not affect it?

When i plug all 3 connectors into the back it turns on and wont turn off. I can leave 2 of the 3 in the back and it has no power. As soon as i connect the middle one the fiat sign comes on the screen and then it goes all fuzzy. I cant even turn the power off when the middle one is connected!!

The middle connector has a pink, pink and black, blue, white, red..... and a black wire into the white plastic connector.

Any ideas people?

2005 Connect Nav

I have recently purchased a 2005 Stilo Abarth with connect nav (not sure if nav+ how would i tell?) and the system does not work. I realised the 3 connectors at the back were not connected so i put them in and this is what happened.......

Re: 2005 Connect Nav

Sounds like the unit is stuffed. I'd guess the previous owner had an aftermarket unit in the hole, and only put the connect nav+ in when the car was sold.

Connect NAV is a big colour screen with a row of buttons under the screen.Looks like this one on Flea Bay

Easiest thing to do is to replace it oike for like, either off of Flea Bay, or off of a breaker. You'll need the registration number of the car it came from to get it working as you need the code from FIAT to make it work.

Connect Nav+ is the one with the colour screen. Connect Nav has a smaller black and red screen.

@Chardy82..... Please don't post duplicate threads, people are more likely to be able to help if we know all the history. (y) Threads now merged.

sorry..... couldnt find my old post this morning!! Thanks for the merge!!

I obviously will buy a new one if needed but if it is something repaireable then i would like this route first as not sure about the risk of getting the number plate to get the code from fiat.... is this easily done?

How much should i be looking to pay for a unit?

I have the colour screen with lots of buttons underneath.... so is that nav+????

Yes... if you have a multi-colour display, then it's a CN+.

You say you have all 3 plugs connected, the CN+ should have 4 wiring multi-plugs and 2 aerial plugs in the back of it. There should be 3 plugs adjacent to the rear panel fuse and another plug with a lever lock engagement device on the opposite side of the rear panel.

If the car is not equiped with all the plugs, it could be that the previous owner has tried, and failed, to retro-fit a CN+ into a car that wasn't designed for one.

It has the 3 connectors alongside the fuse and 2 attachments at the top of the back of the unit and one in the bootom corner. This is a Nav+ i think then?

Any ideas on my problem...... shall i check all wires are connected throughout system? The unit works and has power but just screen is fuzzy and wont turn off!!
