Hi guys, got a bit of a problem with my stilo abarth :/ i noticed yesterday that i had lost one of the hexagon bolts off my front offside calliper for some reason, with everywhere being shut i couldnt get to buy a bolt yesterday so i secured it the best i could just a temp job, anyway it seemed to be holding okay until i got up this morning and had a check before i set off and i noticed it had slipped forward slightly so i just pushed it back over the pads and it sat in place.

Anyway, about half a mile down the road i pulled out at a roundabout and then everything just kicked off :( i had warning lights flashing saying gearbox failure...then ESP failure and then ABS failure :/ i was expecting the car to not move out of 1st gear ( with it being the sellespeed auto box) but everything seemed to be working fine above the stupidly annoying beeping noise :/ the noise stopped but i now have all three lights for esp, abs and gearbox failure all lit up permanantly, Im a little bit stumped with this problem as the gearbox is working as normal so im wondering if a sensor on the brakes or anything has been disturbed, im just baffled lol, any help would be great, cheers people :D  :)

having a look now, fired it up and no warnings :S nothing out of the ordianary at all! ive got the wheel off, where is the sensor located do you know?? :) thanks

The ABS wheel speed sensor is item 2b in this diagram.

ABS filter was loose due to the hammer it must of taken with the caliper being loose, just refitted it and everything seems goood :D no new gearbox needed hopefully lol thankz guys :))))) ad:D

I'd have to agree. If you were in a serious accident because your brakes didn't work properly and a third party got injured or killed... you might be up for some time at Her Majesty's pleasure due to knowingly driving a vehicle not fit for the road :(

Best to get it sorted asap (y)

Are you trying for a Darwin award or what? I strongly suggest you sell the Abarth & walk everywhere, that way you shouldn't present too much of a risk to the rest of humanity:bang:
