I am thinking of lowering my car but I've just went out with my ruler. I've got about 60mm of space between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch on the outside? What should the gap be? If I lower by 35mm that only leaves a gap of 25mm???

Comments and advice welcome

Cheers

Thanks for that

I'm worried that a 35mm drop might make the car too low?

Have you had any problems?

I do have to go over speed bumps a bit slower and also take care when parking with a curb in front of the car as it will catch most curbs after lowering..pesonally I have only made the mistake once and that only just made the front lip touch the speed bump so there was no damage at all.

But they are expected things after lowering any car.. BTW your car wont be quite as low as mine at the front anyway as the abarth engine is a bit heavier hence the front being lower than the back.

IMO its a perfect height for the stilo as long as you take it into consideration when doing the above.

Unless you use your car to drive across ploughed fields a drop of 35mm will not make a stilo too low, mines dropped 50mm at the front (admitidly i only have the standard 15 inch wheels on at the mo) but i can still do everything i used to be able to........just have to do it a bit slower
