hi my dad has a stilo Schumacher gp he has had a problem today with his drivers side window when it go's down its fine but when it go's back up it stops and starts about 5 times till its fully back up has any one got any ideas

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

Probably the anti pinch sensor connector has become disconnected. You would need to remove the door card and inner panel to check it.

You could try disconnecting the large round connector between the front of the door and the A pillar, then clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner a refit the connector.

Hi thanks for that any idea where the anti pinch sensor will be located

The sensor is the lowest point of the top window rubber channel and runs the entire top and front length of the channel. Try it on the passenger side window (if that works). Auto lift the window and press under the rubber. Once you know where it's located, look at the drivers' side one to see if there are any obvious breaks. If not. you need to take the door card and inner door panel off to check the connection.

The wiring is inside the door panel and connects directly via 2 wires to the Door Control ECU which is also inside the door. The 2 wires for the drivers door are light blue/dark blue and white/dark blue.
