Ok, my friend has a fiat stilo 5doors, 2003. 1.9JTD 80pk, chipped to 106pk.
The transmission has been replaced by one of a fiat bravo(by the dealer).
Problem is, when driving in 5th gear, when he throttles up to above 3700RPM, the engine fault warning pops up, and the car throttles down to about 3000RPM, and doesn't accelerate at all anymore. Changing gears doesn't help, it stays at 3000RPM. The only thing that does help is turning the car completely off, and then start it again.
The dealer says it is the katalist, bit expensive, so want to be sure it really is that. Anyone perhaps know what the problem could be?
