Hello all italian motori aficcionados,

I'm fitting my car alarm at my 2002 jtd stilo and I'm having some problems with finding the central lock/unlock wires near the fusebox.
Question: On the alarm diagram it's described to connect the alarm to the module inside the driver's door. It seems to me that the alarm will use the switch (open/close the doors inside the car) for the function of central locking. The "problem" is, I have do completely dismantle the door to get hands on the module and connections
Is there a way to get access to the two wires (open and close) from that switch but near the fuse box?
By the way, does anyone have the schematics for the indicators, I need it in order to make the alarm flash.

Thank you all in advance.

RJ

I fitted a Fiat accessory alarm (Meta) to my car 5 years ago and never took the door cards off, all connections were made at the body computer. What alarm are you fitting?

Is this the same alarm you started fitting in May last year?

If the alarm instructions say connect it to the door control ECU inside the door, then that's where it should go. It's probably because the connections for your alarm need to go to the inputs of the ECU and not the outputs.

You can download the Stilo eLEARN manual that includes wiring diagrams from the forum downloads section here:

https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=5

You can set the main language to Portugese but the wire colours will still be labeled with the initial letter of each colour in Italian. I can post an English translation of the colour code labels if you need it.

Lol Davren I knew someone was going to say that
Yes, I fitted the alarm, it's working, led and sensors only, it's doing the work, but of course, I want it to open/close doors, flash the indicators, probably close windows too :p So, yes, I've stopped last year, and between that put droplinks, thermostat, brake pump, brake pads, on the stilo, now I'm back on it with full power

NumanR,

I'm not fitting an original fiat alarm, it's a gemel (serpistar), now Metasystems, with remote, so, I'm not messing with the open/close mechanism of the car remote. By the instructions it's supposed to get the negative impulses from the module inside the door, but if someone knows another way I would be apreciated:)

Davren,

Thank you for the link, I'm going to download it right now. I'm not rushing it because I have it working OK...but bah, I want it to be all ok.

Thank you very much, Num and Dav. If you can help with something more please post (y)

HeyHey All !!!

Just full-fitted my alarm system.
Followed the alarm instructions, and connected the alarm wires to the comfort system at the module on the driver's door.
- ultrasonic sensors - OK
- 6 indicators with diodes - OK
- central locking and imobiliser - OK
- comfort wiring (auto close windows) - OK
- Driver's door safety wire - OK

Since I had to pull out the door trim, I took the chance to see what was happening to the imobiliser led, next to the lock pin, on the drivers door, (didn't flash).
The led is weld on a basic circuit impressed board with a resistor, mine got "unwelded" from the vibration of lock/unlock. I fixed and it's good again :)

Anyone fitting an alarm, ask for help if you have trouble or doubts about finding/connecting the car wires.
