Hey just got myself a 1.4 stilo blue. Sorry if this has been asked before but im new to engine tuning. Just want to know the best ways to get a little bit more power out of a 1.4? Ive done some reading and induction kits don't give more power right? What does?

The 1.4 is never going to set the world on fire, being a small engine in a relatively heavy car, but the options are:

Re-map
Exhaust
Intake/filter

With the combination of remap, exhaust and induction you could well see 10-15hp or there abouts. Depends if you think that's worth it or not really. Induction and exhaust have cost me £390 for my 1.2 (which is pretty much the same engine) and a remap would be £200 on top.

Personally, I'm probably going to leave the performance stuff now as is as I'm fairly happy with the results. Doesn't make it much faster but makes it nicer to drive and of course sound more purposeful - though the set up I have isn't ridiculously loud.

May well get a remap at some point, but I'll be getting the brakes and perhaps bodywork sorted out next

You can also fit the 1.6 brava/o throttle body, which has a 48mm opening rather than 42 IIRC.

What would that do?

Increase airflow to put it simple.

Meaning more power?
