Hi all,

I did a search and came up empty on this issue maybe some of you guys can put some light on the problem ;)

My Sat Nav screen decided to go like an old TV that is not tuned properly moving lines going across the screen cannot see anything only the bloody lines although the Radio is working fine and I believe the other options are working as well as I do see it change from black and white lines to a bit of colour mixed with it when I go to the “Trip” and also a bit of blue when it starts up going through the black and white lines.

Anyone had the same problem or can tell me what is going on. I was thinking of taking the – cable off the battery but am afraid as I may lose the radio channels lol

Check the flatcable(s) between unit and screen.

I’m a novice when it comes to the Sat Nat are there any diagrams or information on how I can get to the ribbon cables to see if they are ok?

Look for posts on removing the CN+ headunit. When its out, undo the screws that attach the plastic front panel/ display to the metal box behind it. You will then see the ribbon cables pluged into the front edge of the main pcb. Push them down to make sure they are seated in their connectors. Fiat even started putting tape across these connectors to stop this problem.

:D Post Number 1000 for me :D

Just happen to have one apart at the moment.

The 2 flat white ribbon cables are for the screen. The ends of the cables push into the 2 sockets on the main PCB (Printed Circuit Board).

OK I can get the top losend but for some reason the bottom part seems to be fixed to the dash is there any screws holding on the bottom?

Thanks guys

After you have pushed 2 metal rods into the 2 holes in the front panel, the whole CN+ unit should pull out. There is a metal bracket on the back of it at the bottom, but that just slides into a rubber grommet and a hole in the back of the cradle. There are no screws holding it in.
