I have a Stilo Dynamic Multiwagon JTD 115, which has had a few problems. Connect Nav + had to be replaced 2 months from new. Rear stub axles had to be replaced(caused rear tyre wear to kill a set of 205/17/45 tyres). Dealer was excellent in first finding and then solving the problem under warranty. However i have recently had a problem with the temperature gauge going from normal running temp right up to the red line when engine is under load. The car is going to the dealers tomorrow for some tender loving care. Electrical problems have been eliminated. The senior mechanic(who is very good) believed it to be one of the following

Sticking Thermostat
Partial Blockage of the Cooling System
Faulty Water Pump
Or!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A problem with the head gasket and in turn the cylinder head itself.

Has anyone else suffered this problem. The car is just 12 months old and has covered 45,000 miles.

I too have suffered the front tyre wear(re-tracking sorted this), and the knocking suspension(bushes replaced under warranty).

Problems apart the car has been a good work horse for me and i find it very comfortable. The connectnav + is great especially now i have worked out how to get the voice activation to recognise me.

Hi,

Have an 02 abarth with similar problem. There was a recall on the ECU which controls the radiator fan, once this was changed under warranty the temp gauge now sits on normal. Found if I put the heater fan on full and max tempurature this helped the problem and got me home. Thought your car alot newer than mine and the recall might not effect your model but as you did not mention this possible fault in your list maybe worth checking before any major engine work being done on such a new car. hope this helps.

Just had and update. Cars head has been removed and a perforation has been found on the cylinder head. Should get the car back by tomorrow night. Hopefully all fixed. The dealer seems to be doing a great job.
