General Repossesed STILO :(

Went and got the car back to day! Feel so releaved to have it back on the driveway! (just had to put up with the dealer saying wudnt u prefer that to every bmw and merc that when through!) And when theyve been moving the car around at the auction house they only gone and well it looks like theyve hit a post and scuffed all the paint off the passegers side corner on the bumper and slightly on the pannel above it next to the light :bang: Just got to get them to sort this out now :bang: At least im a step closer to getting everything sorted out at last, once this is sorted out then ill be a back to being a happy stilo driver again :D

Excellent, you should get them to pay "Chips Away" to come and fix the paintwork at your house. I have used them a few times and they do a great job and you don't loose the car for more than a couple of hours.

I hit a tow bar with the front of my BMW when it was 9 months old and Chips Away fixed it. When I sold it the guy paid for a RAC inspection and they couldn't spot the repair, but they did spot some other paintwork which BMW did. He said it was a good job but he still saw it, but he didn't even see the Chips Away repair.

Heard mixed repairs about the chips away in Peterborough. They did the door on my mates MG TF after someone keyed it and used the wrong colour silver - did a lovely job of getting rid of the scratch but the door had a cloudy look where they tried to blend it!

Best outfit locally is Trimline in Market Deeping as they did a repair on the same TF when Autoglass scratched his a-pillar doing his windscreen - absolutely invisible repair.

Chips Away is a franchise. Check your yellow pages for your man with a van that does it.

I haven't posted on this thread before but I have been watvhing it from the start. Great news that you have got your car back mate. Enjoy.

This reminds me of my first car, which was a ringer. Fortunately I didn't find out until a couple of years after I had owned it, when the police were trying to trace the person who ringed it, which happened to be the bloke I had bought it from. The current owner at the time would probably have lost the car with no recompense.

As far as the landlord comments earlier are concerned, it also works the other way. I had two lodgers a few years back and they stopped paying the rent, so I told them to pay up or leave. One day I came home and they had left with half of my stuff. The police got hardly any of it back and said the courts weren't interested in criminal proceedings against them and I had no money to pay for civil action against them.

Oh and glad you got your car back.

Just had a good read through this entire thread! What an epic story!!!

I'm so happy for you that you've got your Stilo back, with or without scratches! I'm sure Stilo is really chuffed that you've fought so hard to get him back, and will give you years of trouble-free motoring as thanks ;)

A great outcome!

EDIT: And having viewed a couple of posts that weren't there a minute ago - I didn't spot the thread was more than 2 years old

Cheers

Yes unfortunetly it has been this year and my stilo has been pretty much problem free apart from poor workmanship by my fiat garage... for instance recently i had my steering rack replaced; apartly the car was tracked after i fink not my tyres were bold after 8K miles and went private garage fitted new tyres and tracked the car it was out by -11 conisidence i fink not! Also some idiot took my wingmirror off the other day OMG how expensive are new wingmirror is was something like £124 for the mirror + £30 for the back casing this is with out and fitting or spraying which ent cheap either :( i fink im just a jinxs! Also managed to reverse into a ballard this month too aswell takin some paint off my rub strip, they say they come in three's  But apart from yes, she drives as sweet as a nut! And i have no intention of changing it for a few years! Although i might be persudaded when its three years old and the new grande punto is out :D
