Technical Radio and Phone Problems

Hi Everyone

The radio in my Stilo has developed an interesting problem that I'm hoping someone can help with.

I have a '06 Stilo Sporting with what I think is a Visteon radio, standard system with single slot loading CD player.
The problem that I'm having is that the player is more or less constantly in 'Phone' mode which I can not get it out of. I don't think my car even has the phone system it.
Occasionally it will flip out of phone mode back to the radio which never lasts for more than a minute. Whats worse is that the radio has started turning itself on in Phone mode when the car is locked up, I have to keep going outside to check and turn the thing off for fear of flattening my battery! :bang:

anyone got any idea or suggestions?

disconnect your battery for half an hour then reconnect it, this will reset the electrical system, worth a try

Oh that sounds like a good idea, will I need a code for the stereo if I do that?
I'm not sure I got one when I bought the car.

If it is the original HU then it will be fine. If not codes are easily obtained.
