Re: stilo 0 wall 1

driving in a really heavy storm some building rubble washes into the road and i lost control. Fortunately the rubble slowed me down so I didn't hit the wall too hard. The car is a write off! Combination of all the undercarriage damage, expensive spare parts and me pushing for a write off cause I doubt they will ever get the car right.

Re: stilo 0 wall 1

it looks nasty, but was it very damaging??

the shell looks intact, and even the alloys still look clean, cant you rebuild it???

and with engine damage, clear candidate for an engine swap

A wing, a door and a bumper and a clean underneath! You got it written off for that! Wot a scrote! Yep your insurance will be affected, you might if your not lucky end up loosing money, 'cos you'll get what the insurance firm decide is the market value, which based on Fiat depreciation might be less than you owe in outstanding finance!

Hope it works out well for you! But all i can say is you must have been driving too fast for the road conditions!

He lives in South Africa so i think insurance wont ever be a problem out there! Its only because we all live in the UK we have to pay the stupid prices!

The A-post is badly damaged and the Stilo is a monoside constructions AFAIK, which basically means the entire side of the car is a single pressing. The door and outer wing are the only side panels that are seperate. Thats not a repair I would fancy on my car!!

Re: stilo 0 wall 1

I tell you that A post doesn't look badly damaged to me, look at where the wing ends on the Stilo, it looks like superficial scratching on the bottom of the a post!
