I originally ordered my Stilo with a cold climate pack (with leather seats in a UK winter I thought chapped buttocks could be a problem!)

Any how, to cut a long story short, when my car arrived in the UK it didn't have it. Cue winter and frozen ar*e. Is the winter pack just heated seats or is there an addition to the heating system to make it come on quicker (as at present I have to wait 5 minutes before it all fires up)

How come you accepted delivery of the car when it wasn't specified as per your order?

Fiar Stilo Abarth 3dr. Loden Green, Beige Leather, Sky Window, Cold Climate Pack, 17" Alloys, CD Changer, 260w 8 Speaker Stereo. Anticipated Delivery Mid June (oooh it's July now and guess what?.....Still waiting!

I would have had to wait another 11+ weeks for a replacement car, but I accepted it because the car that turned up had a sky window and sub in the boot instead. After seeing the sky window, and the fact that I wouldn't have to pay any extra, I decided to put up with the cold ar*e but I'm interested to know whether the heater would have been any better.

I think the Cold Climate pack is includes heated seats, heated windscreen washers and heated headlamp washers.

I don't think it makes the heater work any quicker. The heated seats also take several minutes to warm up.

You'll have to be very hard faced and prepared for a long fight, i.e. take it to court, to reject a car on those grounds alone. Fiat reserve the right to alter the specification of their cars without notice. I haven't spoken to a lawyer, but I think this clause makes it difficult for consumers to reject a car in cases like this.

Of course it doesn't help when you have been waiting for over 13 weeks, are dying to get in your new car, and are faced with the prospect of having to wait another 3 months. [!]

(As many of you will already know from other threads, my car was not as ordered and they basically told me where to go when I complained.)

My car finally arrived yesterdayday and the heated seats are nice when you have the sky window open in the early evenings. My seat went a bit cold after an hour so I suspect the unit has broken after just an hours use. Am going to look in the manual and try it again tomorrow to see if there is any info/changes.

I think all Stilos should come in yellow, it is the colour of lemons after all!

The Climate pack includes electric seats with memory options - which was the only thing I actually wanted.
I've only used them accidentally when adjusting the seat whilst driving. Took about a minute for me to notice and another 30seconds before it was too uncomfortable and I had to scrabble to switch it off.

I've always assumed the heated seats switched off after a few minutes like the heated screen, but I've not been brave enough to try for more than 2 minutes :I - maybe when winter comes

DiscWorld, I think you are conufusing the Cold Climate Pack with the Comfort pack. You don't get electric seats with the Cold Climate pack. Unless things have changed very recently that is.
