Using the great advice in the guides, I managed to change the front passenger side headlight bulb. I think I could probably now do it again in about 10 minutes, maybe less.

Which is a good thing as I may have to! The bulb replacement didn't work. I had a twin pack, so I tried the other and it did work either. FFS! After all that skin lost from my hands!

Anyway, I figure this is probably an electric connection issue. But the fog lamp is gone too, and the rear lamp, all on the passenger side. Before I start ordering more bulbs, spraying everything in WD40 and hoping for the best, could this be a fuse issue?

Thanks for any advice or comments on this one!

It's tempting to just go straight for changing a bulb if it doesn't work but if it's difficult to access then it's always worth checking for power there first, saves many a wasted hour and you'll have done the fuse, relay and all connector tests too all in one go

You need to be more specific. What car and engine is it? 3 door, 5 door multiwagon? Wiring diagrams are different for each

I managed to change the front passenger side headlight bulb

Which one? Main beam headlight or dipped beam headlight? People have been known to change the wrong one and wonder why it still doesn't work

But the fog lamp is gone too
Which one? Front or rear?

and the rear lamp
which one? Sidelight? Brake light?

WD40 is a water dispersal, light lubricating oil and not good for cleaning electrical contacts, for that use electrical contact cleaner

Fair points. I've spent most of my years' fettling on motorbikes, so getting little access into small areas on complex wiring like this is new to me!

Front LHS lightbulb changed is the correct one - the one that didn't work! The dipped headlight bulb, by the way.

Front LHS fog lamp also not working. Not the end of the world, but I may as well sort it whilst I'm in the mood.

Main rear LHS lamp is gone too. I'm going to replace that bulb today - should only take a few minutes.

I'll let you know how I get on once I've looked at the rear lamp.

Model - 02 3 door 1.6 petrol.
