I drive a 1.6 16v stilo which i love to bits. but I have a problem. My key fob is cracked and i feel it will soon break, im just dreading the day that it breaks, the car wont start and im stranded. I was thinking of buying one off ebay and taking it apart and and placing my key shaft and circuit board in the new key.

would that work?

help please!

It should work, basically transfer all the gubbins across (y)

as said theres no reason why it shouldnt work just make sure you dont break anything when transfering it over

maybe take some anti satic precutions to make sure you dont kill the circuit board during the transfere
